Ek Tha Tiger Movie Review

EK Tha Tiger produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Kabir Khan, this Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer is aimed at rewriting the history of cinema. Let’s see if it’s able to deliver as much as promised as hype.

 

What is the Movie About ?

Tiger played by Salmna Khan is an agent of Raw, an intelligence officer who is considered to be the best in the team, so much so that people have long since forgotten to address from his real name thereby calling him TIGER out of much respect. So as soon as in the first 20 minutes tiger is done thrashing half on IRAN and goes back to Delhi he is appointed to another assignment where he has to strictly observe the happenings of a professor Kidwai and not mess around, definitely not killing anyone. By way gaining entry into the professor’s life and house Tiger befriends ‘Zoya’ who is Katrina Kaif and then love happens, which stop there, because it is soon revealed that how ISI agent Zoya has been cheating Tiger all alone till they finally have a faceoff, eye to eye at gun point. At this sensitive juncture while none of them has the authority to listen to their heart let alone falling in love, what tiger and zoya decide forms the rest of the story.

 

What’s HOT In the Movie Ek tha Tiger

Aditya Chopra’s Story and Kabir Khan Direction make Ek tha Tiger one of Salman’s Khan better and more sensible movies. The polished and stylish evidently lacks the illogical massy appeal without comprising on audiences demand. Salman looks fresh, aggressive and dapper in larger parts of the movie where Katrina’s doll like charms impresses the audiences. Other actors in supporting role also do well. A cinematographer Aseem Mishra steals the show with the way most of the exotic locations are shot. Actions is thrilling and crisp editing spices up the flow.

 

 

What’s NOT in the Move Ek tha Tiger

Though Kabir Khan goes glossy and far more commercial with Ek tha Tiger as compared to his previous attempts the plot of love story is easily lost to the dry, RAW vs ISI subject. The sophisticated look results in the loss of usual fun elements that Salman Khan has become synonymous with which makes us wonder why writers Kabir Khan and Nilesh Mishra wanted to make a massy Salman Khan starrer movie minus his charisma and bankable one liner dialogues. The lack of the humor and charm kills the narrative. Goddess of good looks Katrina Kaif disappoints no end as she fails to perform as an actress yet again. But that doesn’t shock us as bad as Ek tha Tiger songs sequences too with tracks like Mashallah simply being wasted. Everything that the movie achieves technically is wasted in the creative department which is more like lot what SRK’s Ra-one and Saif’s Agent Vinod showed.

 

Final Verdict on Ek Tha Tiger

A new version of Salman Khan is set to role with Ek tha Tiger, a definite one time watch for the classes and masses alike. We at hotnewcrunch.com give it four stars.
