Ek Tha Tiger Banned in Pakistan

Ek Tha Tiger – The New upcoming movie of Salman Khan where he is playing the role of a RAW agent whose mission is to keep an eye and track down the activities of a college professor who is suspected of selling Indian missile technologies & other secrets to Pakistan and other agencies. The romantic thriller Ek tha Tiger is produced by ‘Yash Raj Films’ and is directed by Kabir Khan. Lead roles are played by Salman Khan & Katrina Kaif.

 

Its due to the trailers of the movie which were out recently the Pakistan authorities issued a letter to the country’s media, TV channels and cable networks to stop showing any activity related to the movie on their channels because they believe that the movie is based on the activities of ISI and RAW and is not in benefit of Pakistan Government. The Pakistan authority directed the cable operators to stop airing the promos of the move Ek Tha Tiger until it given a NOC (No objection Certificate) from the Central Board of Film Censors.

The bad news is that Salman Khan has a huge fan following in Pakistan and due to this dilemma the producers might suffer a big loss. Kabir Khan said that this is the price they are paying because the Bollywood industry had made many insensitive films in past which blamed other countries to gain the trust of Indians and make their movie a success. He also said that in today’s time making movies like this is the most stupid act one can do.

Salman Khan is much tensed about this situation and has decided to visit Pakistan himself along with Kabir Khan (director of Ek tha Tiger) so that they can talk to authorities directly and assure them that the movie does not contain any against their country or community. Kabir Khan stated that once the Pakistan censor board sees the movie then they will more than happy to show it in theatres and he is confident that movie will be released in the whole world along with Pakistan on the decided date i.e. 15^th August 2012. The point to be noted here is that neither Salman Khan nor Kabir Khan has ever visited Pakistan Before and this shows their concern about the ban on movie (Ek tha Tiger) and people of Pakistan.
